Appenzeller Balance

This project began as a static package shot with the desire to add a slight camera move and to make the cheese balance on one of its corners. Multiple scans and photographs of a slice of the real cheese allowed me to recreate what’s going on a subsurface level to make the 3D cheese look realistic enough to hold up against the scrutiny of the client’s food designers.
